  20th Annual Cal/OSHA Update Series

Joel Cohen and Bob Peterson will be the featured speakers at this year’s 20th Annual Cal/OSHA Update seminar series. This year, Barbara Miller, recently retired presiding Administrative Law Judge with the Cal/OSH Appeals Board, will also be one of the featured speakers.  Cal/OSHA District Managers and/or Regional Managers representatives will also be present at each seminar to make a presentation and to answer questions.  The day-long seminar, which will be hosted in Petaluma, Oakland, Sacramento, Burbank, Ontario, and Garden Grove, will review and update significant Cal/OSHA regulation and policy changes, which occurred in 2007.  Significant rulings of the Cal/OSHA Appeals Board will also be discussed.

The Cohen Group clients are entitled to a 10 percent discount of the seminar registration fee regardless of the number of employees attending.

In addition to the day-long program is a 2-hour early morning session designed specifically for contractors. This session will focus on problems unique to contractors such as what defenses are available to a general contractor or subcontractor to defend against citations issued under the "multi-employer" policy, what written safety programs you must have on site, how to prepare for a Cal/OSHA inspection.

Everyone attending the Cal/OSHA Update seminar will also receive a copy of the NEW Cal/OSHA Source, a comprehensive publication on the many rules and regulations of the California Division of Occupational Safety and Health written by Bob Peterson and Joel Cohen.  The Cal/OSHA Source has been revised and updated and new sections have been added for 2008.
